Meet the Westgate Team Behind Winslow Windows & Doors
Most window and door companies in Westgate send whoever’s available. We don’t work that way. The same crew that measures your openings is the crew that shows up to install, and the person who answers your call at 2 a.m. knows your street, your project, and probably your hurricane-panel frustration. Ed Winslow started this company in 2011 with a simple rule: hire people he’d trust in his own house, then treat them well enough that they stay. Fifteen years later, the faces on the truck haven’t changed much. That’s the point. You’re not getting a rotating cast of subcontractors. You’re getting the team down the road.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician, Impact Windows & Doors
Marcus has been installing impact-rated windows in Palm Beach County since 2009, and he’s been with Winslow since 2013. He’s PGT and CGI factory-certified, which means he’s trained on the exact products he installs, not a generic version of them. His specialty is large-format sliders and out-of-square openings, the kind of job where the framing’s moved and someone has to actually think instead of just shimming twice and calling it done. Marcus can tell you the wind-load rating on a specific PGT model from memory and will absolutely point out when a homeowner’s old window was never flashed correctly to begin with. He’s the guy who shows up first on a big install and the one the newer guys call when a curb isn’t level. Off the clock, he fishes the Loxahatchee on weekends and keeps a photo of every after-shot install on his phone like other people keep pictures of their kids.
Rosa M. – Senior Installer, Residential & Commercial
Rosa came to Winslow in 2016 after five years doing commercial storefront work in Miami, and she brings a level of precision to residential jobs that most homeowners in Westgate have never seen. She’s certified on Therma-Tru entry systems and ES Windows, and Ed will tell you she’s the fastest clean installer on the crew without ever cutting a corner that matters. Rosa handles a lot of our door retrofits because she’s methodical about threshold height, swing clearance, and weather sealing, things that don’t photograph well but absolutely matter the first afternoon it rains sideways. She keeps a small notebook in her back pocket with measurements and reminders for every active job, and she’ll remember your dog’s name by the second visit.
Danny R. – Service Coordinator & Estimator
Danny’s the voice you’ll most likely hear when you call (561) 468-6136. He’s been with Winslow since 2018 and knows the service area block by block, which helps when a homeowner calls about a leaking frame and can’t quite describe the problem. Before joining the company, Danny worked as a field tech for a glass supplier, so he understands what’s actually happening when a seal fails or a roller wears out. He’s the one who writes up your quote, walks you through the line items without rushing, and makes sure the standing discounts, including the 10% for seniors and veterans, get applied before you even ask. Danny keeps a laminated map of Palm Beach County on his desk, not because he needs it but because it’s helpful when a homeowner asks how far we go for the no-trip-charge offer.
Luis G. – Apprentice Installer
Luis joined the crew in 2022 as an apprentice, and he’s the reason we can keep saying “done right the first time” without crossing our fingers. He’s training directly under Marcus and Rosa, which means he’s learning impact-window installation the slow, correct way instead of being handed a drill and pointed at a frame. He handles a lot of the prep work: pulling old caulk, prepping openings, setting up staging, and keeping the truck stocked. Luis grew up in Westgate and still lives about ten minutes from the shop, which makes the whole “neighbor you can call” thing feel pretty literal. When he’s not on a job site, he’s restoring a 1970s Chevy pickup in his driveway, and he’s been promised by Ed that no one will rush him on either project.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this team answers to the same rule: if it’s not done right, it gets made right. That’s the Done Right Promise, and it belongs to Ed Winslow personally. The company’s address is published, the license number is on record, and Ed’s name is on the door, which means “we’ll fix it later” was never an available option. Whether it’s a custom geometric window ordered to a wildly specific radius or a standard slider in a Westgate rancher, the crew follows the same sequence: measure, verify, install to manufacturer spec, inspect, then leave the site cleaner than we found it. No subcontractor roulette. No crew you’ve never met. The technicians are background-checked, uniformed, and local, and the person coordinating your job is the same one who answered the phone. That consistency isn’t a policy we wrote down. It’s just how we’ve run things since 2011.
